so uh basically.. my name's ****. i prefer to be called venus tho since people tend to remember it better than my real name lmao. how did i named myself that ? out of the song venus as a boy ,by bjork ?!1 maybe... did i named myself after the planet venus , since i love astronomy ? or the godness of love ,venus ? or after the venus fly trap plant?!1 OR again because venus sounds like pen.. nah... idk neither.

i like collecting little trinkets that i find outside or that i buy ( rarely ) ( i'm broke ) ( no i'm lying ) (capitalism ruined me) . and when i tell you i like these .. i would let them represent me in court trust . and how i love physical media such as cds , books , mangas !!it dosn't offer me a dependance on devices. we all know digital formats face risks like data corruption, loss due to hardware failures, or deletion right ?!1 physical media, (when stored correctly), can last for years without these risks and that's why i prefer these formats ( i love treasuring them and displaying these in my silly little shelves ). most of the books / cds / mangas etc.. that i have are either from my cool uncle , from thrifts store , local artists selling merch or from the library gibert joseph ( barnes and nobles but in paris ) :3

since i'm not really a verbal person , i prefer expressing myself in different ways like drawing , coding , crafting ,etc.. i also like writing long essays about my interests , which i stopped lately since my job dosn't offer me much time for myself nowadays to do that :( .
music music... i love music .. i live to listen to music and discover new artists in the midnight. i love radiohead and i live of this band. i only swear on the in rainbows album , it's my favorite album from them and i'm literally the same age as this album fr ( i was born 13 days after the release of in rainbows ) !!1

i don't want my personal website to be labelised by " aesthetics " because i think an artist's work should be beyond any label, category or any aesthetic that people could put my website into , since it's my own styling and stuff.

some of my main interests at the moment include:

    • Kidorikko
    • Sonic The Hedgehog (i love Tekno the Canary, and i'm also the most annoying Sonic Underground fan you'll ever meet)
    • Shibuya-Kei/Picopop
    • NanaOn-Sha (Major Minor's Majestic March and Mojib-Ribbon, mostly)
    • Pikmin
    • Love-De-Lic

    my litte collection

i adore weird music. music is such an awesome artistic medium, and i think people these days tend to forget about that. i'm always looking for cool tunes to listen to, and coincidentally they always seem to fit into one of two categories: "creepy strange avant-garde synth new wave experimental slime" or "cute sweet sample-y electronic shibuya-kei picopop indie twee bossa garbage". most of the music i listen to is japanese; i probably have less than 10 western bands i listen to regularly! and i find it even harder to get into bands with male lead vocalists, not sure why that is.

i also love the web revival movement with all my heart. i've always loved old technology, but after reading through some people's perspectives on the movement, i've started using stuff like physical media, and old digital cameras, and even resurrected my old laptop (which i'm typing this on right now, haha!) with the idea in mind that what i'm doing is an act of defiance towards big tech companies always wanting us to upgrade to the best new tech.
i also hate social media, as you've probably already figured out. i've honestly never used any social media except for tiktok (which i quit using years ago because it definitely did actual damage to me) and youtube (which i still use, but it's mostly for music anyway). it sounds scary. i like having my own silly corner of the internet.

    aw hell naw
